Prescribed Comfort Care (Veterinary Referral Required)
Veterinary-directed pain management for geriatric, mobility-compromised, and hospice patients.
This service is specifically for:
Geriatric dogs with reduced mobility – Gentle therapeutic massage sessions with prescribed modalities to support comfort and ease of movement at home.
Hospice and palliative care patients – Focused entirely on quality of life, comfort, and dignity. Gentle massage sessions with passive range of motion, soft tissue mobilization and prescribed modalities. This can also include therapeutic weight baring for dogs with mobility restrictions.
I work as an extension of your veterinary team, implementing prescribed therapies and providing session updates to ensure coordinated, compassionate care. I help you understand and assist in managing your dogs' quality of life at home by sharing quality of life scales, comfort-checking practices, and reputable resources to help you recognize signs of changing needs at home. If you have specific clinical concerns, I will always direct you back to your veterinarian.

Gentle, therapeutic massage with light stretching
Cold Laser (Class 3b 1300mW Domer)- for superficial tissues only (wounds or soft tissue) eg. Bedsores, tight superficial muscles

What To Expect
-
Sessions are gentle and slow-paced, duration may vary from service to service. I follow your dog's cues throughout. If your dog needs a break, we rest. Comfort always comes first.
Before each session – I will ask you for updates on your dog's condition and observe your dog for any changes or signs of discomfort to share with your veterinarian before we begin. This is followed by therapeutic massage and any prescribed modalities or treatments. I am always available during sessions to discuss or answer questions.
Quality of life guidance (for Prescribed Comfort Care patients) – I can share quality of life scales, comfort-checking practices, and reputable resources to help you recognise signs of changing needs at home. If you have specific clinical concerns, I will always direct you back to your veterinarian. I am here to provide guidance and suggestions on how to maintain the best quality of life for your dog.
Follow-up – After the session, I provide a brief summary to you and, where applicable, share clinical notes with your referring veterinarian or physiotherapist.
Goal – My aim is for you and your dog to feel at ease, supported and understood.
