The Canine Comfort Club supports your geriatric, mobility-compromised, and hospice patients with in-home comfort care under your existing treatment plan. I extend your reach into the home, provide consistent supportive therapy, and report back to you promptly.

How I work with you

When to refer

· Your geriatric patient has reduced mobility or lacks ambulation and would benefit from gentle in-home support sessions · Your hospice patient needs consistent comfort-focused, therapeutic care sessions for quality of life. · Your patient has a chronic condition requiring ongoing supportive therapies · The owner may struggle to provide consistent home care or managing quality of life.

What this can include (when prescribed):

  • Gentle, therapeutic massage with light stretching

  • Cold Laser (Class 3b 1300mW Domer)- for superficial tissues only (wounds or soft tissue) eg. Bedsores, tight superficial muscles

  • Red Light Therapy (NIR Light)

  • Thermotherapy (controlled heat or cold)

  • Gentle range of motion support

  • Supportive weight baring exercises (peanut ball, supported standing)

  • Nursing care: Nail trims and paw pad management, anal gland expression, supportive wound care as prescribed (including bedsores)

  • Other nursing support or prescribed treatment the family struggles with at home.

What You Can Expect From Me

  • Respect for your treatment plan — I do not modify or overrule

  • I discuss quality of life management with the owner, including general guidance on hospice care and additional support for owners. This is appropriately recorded and you are updated with changes or concerns.

  • Clear, timely updates on patient condition, changes, concerns or relevant discussions with the owner.

  • Professional boundaries — I refer clinical questions back to you

I Follow Your Treatment Plan:

  • I deliver only what you have authorized

  • I Do Not Prescribe or Diagnose: I do not create treatment plans or establish diagnoses

  • I Communicate: I provide session notes upon request

  • I Support Client Compliance: I help busy owners maintain consistent home care. I help owners maintain quality of life at home.

Important Note

I practice within the legal scope of a veterinary nurse in Hong Kong under the Veterinary Surgeons Registration Ordinance (Cap. 529). I do not provide independent diagnoses, prescribe medications, perform acts of veterinary surgery, or practice physiotherapy independently. For Prescribed Comfort Care, I work strictly under your direction by referral only.
